Linux Foundation to support displaced developers via its Mentorship Program

Covid-19 Pandemic made the entire world to suffering like nothing before and as a result, the IT sector is also suffering. And many developers who have been displaced due to this pandemic, Linux Foundation is giving them a helping hand.

Linux Foundation is expanding its mentorship program with the help of Intel’s Seed funding. Intel has committed $250k funding and an additional $100k by Linux Foundation. This mentorship program will enable developers to grow and get a high paid salary at some of the big IT giants of the world.

This mentorship program is a win-win for both developers and Open-source Projects. Ask me how?? So the developers in this internship will be exploring, experimenting, and obviously learning so much. And at the same time, various open-source projects will also be getting the help of these new experts and strengthening its core by the end of this program.

Dates to remember:

Applications have been started from April 13, 2020, and the last date to apply is June 1, 2021. Also, Applications will be handled on a rolling basis.

What Happens After the program?

As a result of this mentorship program, many skilled developers will be created and some of them will be posted to the big IT giants like IBM, Google, Red Hat, Intel, and more.
