Hi,

So if you want to multiply two digit numbers then use a simple technique called " i X i ".

How to use IXI to multiply any two digit numbers in mind?

Ans: It's very simple. Just follow the steps.

Assume we want to multiply 78*43.

so we will assume 7 & 8 as "I" and we will assume same with 43.

Now "X" is the way to calculate them.

7 8

(i) (i)

4 3

And X is

7 8

X

4 3

So first we will multiply our "i",

hence,

8 * 3 = 24

then we will multiply our "x"

7 * 3 +4 * 8 = 21 + 32 = 53

And then we will multiply our second "i"

7 * 4 = 28

THIS IS HOW OUR ACTUAL CALCULATION LOOKS LIKE

so, i * i that is 8 * 3 = 24 taken 4 and left is 2 which we will add in our X.

7 * 3 +4 * 8 = 21 + 32 = 53 + leftover 2 = 55 and taken 5 and another 5 we will add in our second "i"

second "i" is 7 * 4 = 28 + leftover 5 = 33,

so our answer is 3354
